Our Story
Pace started as a frustration with modern dating and friend-making apps — and turned into something built for moving, not scrolling.
Every app promised connection. What we got was an inbox full of half-started conversations that never turned into anything real.
We'd spend twenty minutes crafting the perfect opener, get a match, exchange a few messages, and then... nothing. No plans. No follow-through. Just another notification to ignore. The apps were optimized for time spent in the app, not time spent together.
So we asked a simpler question: what if meeting someone didn't require a conversation at all first? What if you could just show up, walk, and let the conversation happen the way it always used to — in person, at your own pace, with nothing to perform for a profile.
That's Pace. No bios to write. No photos to curate. No back-and-forth to schedule something that might fall through anyway. You set your pace, we find someone nearby who's ready to move too, and you meet at a public spot and go. It's the lowest-friction way we could think of to turn "we should hang out sometime" into an actual walk around the block.
We're a small team building this because we wanted it to exist. We're building it carefully — with real safety measures, opt-in location sharing, and public meeting points by default — because meeting strangers in person is a real thing with real stakes, not a swipe you can undo.
Pace is still early. We're building in the open, listening closely, and shipping slowly on purpose. If that sounds like your kind of app, we'd love to have you on the list.
What we believe
No filters, no highlight reels. Just people who happen to be free for a walk right now.
The best conversations happen side by side, not through a keyboard. We get you there faster.
Public meeting points, opt-in location, and easy reporting — built in from day one, not bolted on.
Pace is currently in development. Drop your email and we'll let you know when it's ready.
No spam. Just one email when we launch.
