1. What Pace builds in by default
- Public meeting points only: Pace suggests meeting at parks, cafes, and well-known landmarks — never a private address.
- Location privacy by default: Your exact, live location is never shared with your group unless you explicitly opt in for that session.
- One-tap report and block: Every profile, group, and session has a report option. Blocking is immediate and mutual — a blocked user cannot be grouped with, message, or call you again.
- 18+ accounts: every member confirms they are 18 or older (date of birth, plus an OS age-range check on supported devices) before they can be grouped with anyone.
- No-show and behavior tracking: Repeated no-shows, reports, or blocks affect a user's ability to keep getting grouped on Pace.
Zero tolerance. Harassment, threats, solicitation, impersonation, and any illegal activity result in immediate, permanent removal from Pace. If someone makes you feel unsafe, report them — we investigate every report.
2. Before you meet
- Review your group's profiles first, and trust your instincts if anything feels uncertain.
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going, who you're meeting, and roughly when you'll be back. Consider sharing your live location with them (not your group) for the session.
- Always choose the suggested public meeting point — never agree to meet at a private home or an isolated location for a first walk.
- Trust your instincts. If a conversation or profile feels off before you've even met, you're free to cancel — you never owe anyone an explanation.
3. During your walk or run
- Stick to public, populated routes, especially for a first meeting.
- Keep your phone charged and on you.
- You're never obligated to continue a session that makes you uncomfortable — you can end it and head to a public place at any time.
- If you ever feel unsafe or threatened, contact local emergency services first. Report the user to Pace afterward so we can act on our end.
4. Reporting and blocking
You can report a user directly from their profile or from an active/past session. Reports are reviewed by our safety team, and we may warn, suspend, or permanently ban an account depending on severity. Blocking is instant, doesn't notify the other user, and immediately prevents any future grouping or contact.
To report a safety concern outside the app, or if you need a faster response, email safety@pacesocial.net.
5. What we ask of every member
- Be who you say you are. Impersonation and fake profiles are a violation of our Terms of Service.
- Show up when you're grouped, or cancel with enough notice for the rest of the group to adjust.
- Treat every group member the way you'd want to be treated — Pace is for real connection, not for solicitation, sales pitches, or harassment.
- Respect a "no." If someone ends a session, doesn't respond, or blocks you, don't attempt to contact them through other means.
6. In an emergency
If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services (911 in the US) before doing anything else. Pace's in-app tools are designed to reduce risk, but they are not a substitute for your own judgment or emergency services.
