Not exactly — Pace is built for meeting people in general, whether that turns into a friendship, a workout buddy, or something more is up to you. There's no swiping and no romantic framing built in — you're queued into a low-pressure group, not paired one-on-one.

You choose walk or run, your target distance, and how many people you want in your group. Pace queues you with nearby people who set similar preferences and confirms a low-pressure group meetup at a suggested public meeting point.

Quick Match skips the fine-tuning — it queues you into the best available nearby group right away, using sensible defaults for distance and pace.

Yes. You can set an approximate distance, choose walk or run, and adjust your group size before you queue up.

You can send a quick in-app ping, and if things don't line up, you can cancel from the app and requeue — no explanation needed. Repeated no-shows are tracked and affect a user's ability to get grouped.

Yes. Add friends in the Social tab, then invite them into your queue before you queue up — you'll be grouped together rather than split up.

That's on our roadmap. Right now Pace is focused on grouping you with new people, with the option to bring friends along for the walk.

We've designed Pace around public meeting points, opt-in (not automatic) location sharing, and one-tap reporting and blocking. That said, meeting anyone new in person carries some inherent risk — see our Safety Guidelines for the precautions we recommend every time.

No, not by default. Your precise location is never visible to another user unless you explicitly opt in to live location sharing for a specific session.

Every profile and active session has a report and block option. Blocked users can't be grouped with you again, and reports are reviewed by our team — see Safety Guidelines for details.

Account basics (name, email), date of birth to confirm you're 18+, profile details you choose to share, approximate location for grouping, and — if you allow them — notification permissions. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

During setup we ask for your date of birth and only continue if it shows you're 18 or older. On supported iPhones and Android devices we may also request an age range from the operating system. We do not take a selfie or collect a phone number for this. See our Privacy Policy and Child Safety Standards.

You can delete your account and data at any time from Settings in the app, or by emailing us. Step-by-step instructions are on our Delete My Account page.

Yes, Pace is free during early access. We'll be upfront well in advance of introducing any paid features.
